Happy New Home

Whilst weddings have been on pause lately, I've been drawing some gorgeous house portraits - a lovely gift idea or treat for yourself!

You can also have cards made - perfect for new address announcements, letterheads or notecards.

Here's one I drew recently of a gorgeous period home in Elderslie, Renfrewshire.

Pet Portraits

It's been a crazy year hasn't it, where we've all had to adapt! I've always drawn pets on a small scale - usually stood with their Mums & Dads in wedding illustrations. Often pets can't be there on the day, so to include them on the invitation 'wedding scene' is just fab!

Over the past few months though, where weddings have mainly been on pause, I've started drawing lots of pet portraits, mainly doggos! I love dogs, and although I don't have one of my own now, we had a Jack Russell whilst growing up. I'm a total dog lover and would LOVE another.

So anyway here's Coco, who I've been drawing this week, she's all the way from Oz!

Mother's Day Inspiration

MOTHER'S DAY INSPIRATION! Quite popular just now are bride + mother of the bride drawings - and Mother's Day will be upon us before we know it - Sunday 14th March.

Maybe your big day flew in and you just didn't get that perfect photo of you both together... or perhaps you'd just like to gift something original and different!

The illustration below features the amazing Oran Mor, in Glasgow's West End. I have a wealth of venues already drawn - for the full list head over to the Wedding page on the website.

Drop me a line at hayley@angelkinart.co.uk for more info.

Wedding Pets!

Today, as well as a spot of home schooling (!) I'm working on a gorgeous set of wedding invitations, featuring the Brig O Doon in Alloway, the gorgeous bride and groom to be & their dog Breagha!

Here's a sneaky peek of the doggo....

The Den at Culross

My first post! And a big hello, hope someone is out there! So over the past few days I've been drawing a gorgeous wedding venue, a converted barn - The Den at Culross. This is just a sneaky peek at a wee part of the illustration, drawn in pencil and charcoal, which is going to be a Save the Date stationery card.

Since launching Angelkin Art (formerly Angelkin Cards) in 2011, I've drawn many venues and this one will be added to what has become quite a large list!

It was lovely to draw a barn conversion, it's a bit different and quirky. It's my dream to live in a barn! One day, fingers crossed!
